Updates 8-8-10

I haven't posted anything in a while so I thought I would give an update. Been busy with selling stuff on ebay and have had some luck. I continue to do online surveys and have cashed in on a few. They have changed how they do it though. Now, you earn points. You must have 1000 points ($10.00) before you can cash in on Surveyspot. They can send the money to your Paypal account instantly. Works great.

The other survey website - American Consumer Opinion has made some minor changes as well. Now, they require $10.00 in your account before they send you a check. It used to be $5.00. The only bad thing about this website, they send very very few surveys to you and when they do, it is usually around the first of the month. You have to qualify and if you do, then you can do the rest of the survey and they will send you money in about a week or so into your account.

That is all for today. I will try to update when new things come up.

Video Freeware and Shareware

Have you ever wanted to backup your dvd movies but did not know how to? Well, there is a website that you can go to that has tons of software, many freeware or shareware for you to use to back up your dvd movies. First you need to find some software that will decrypt the dvd. That means that most if not all dvds are encrypted. You cannot just copy the files over by dragging. It doesn't work that way. The decrypting software will get the files from the dvd, decrypt them and copy them to your hard drive. Next, you will find out how big the dvd files are. A regular dvd holds about 4.7 gigabytes of information. Some dvds hold 10 gigabytes or more. These dvds are dual layer dvds. If don't have any dual layer dvds, you will need to find a program that will shrink the size of the dvd files so that they can fit on the dvd you will use to burn. Now, be careful. When you condense the file, you can lose some quality. Once you find a software that can do that for you, if needed, then you will need a software that will copy the files over to your dvd for backup. There are a few programs that will have a compressor and burn capabilities within one program.

All of this can be found on dvdrhelp.com. It is a great site to learn and find how to burn dvds.

Good Luck.

Changes to my blog

I have decided to change my blog. I am now going to blog about stuff you can get for free on the internet. Items such as information on websites where you can learn about how to burn dvds, to websites where you can actually watch movies for free without downloading them.

First, I want to talk about burning dvds. Have you ever wanted to make backups of your dvd movies you have at home, but don't know how or what you need? Go to www.dvdrhelp.com. This website will give you the information and tools you need to successfully back up your dvd movies. It is a great site that has information about dvds and shareware and freeware software you can use.

I also would like to let you know about a website that I found that actually lets you view cable shows, movies, sports, etc. for free on the internet. The website is: www.justin.tv.
Since times are tough financially for a lot of people, me included, I was trying to find ways to cut back. At present, I do not have cable or satellite service, only local broadcast tv. It gets boring with nothing really good to watch. So when I found this website, I was able to watch shows that normally would find on cable or satellite. I am a wrestling fan. I found that I was able to get Monday Night Raw for free with commmercials included. I guess the way it works, people become members and what they do is broadcast or upload movies, shows, etc. from their cable or satellite service to this website allowing you to watch stuff for free.

Also, just recently, I came across another website that I found through www.justin.tv, that allowed me to watch pay-per-view for free. At the moment, I was only able to find wrestling pay-per-views. I don't know if they show any other types of ppv, but it worked. This site is: www.liveppvs.tk.

These are just a few of the websites that I found that you can view movies, programs, etc. for free, especially for those who do not have cable or are thinking of cutting back and are afraid of missing you out on your favorite programs.

Hope to have some new stuff up soon.

Thanks.
